Would you believe my Xbox 360 got one red ring of doom last night(Great timing for the children). I am sending it back to Microsoft for repair, but in the meantime, need to purchase another console for Christmas. (their presents are xbox orientated!!) Should I buy the xbox arcade as i have been told my hard drive will fit it or should I buy another xbox 360. Can anyone give me some advice, I am panicking now, this close to the BIG DAY. Remember when my console is fixed I will be returning the hard drive to the original 360

You might as well buy the Premium pack, the extra cost is neglible and it means you can sell it on for more when you get the other one back, or if you want to keep it then it's more useful.

The Arcade models are somewhat akin to chocolate fireguards in terms of usefulness, I can't quite see why Microsoft continue with them to be honest
I agree with cakeboy. The arcade model is pretty rubbish. We were told by the staff in gamestation not to bother with it when we were shopping for a new xbox (we also got the lights of doom)
I would buy the Elite,it costs around 220 and has a 120gb hard drive, they are quieter too :)
the arcade doesnt have the silver disk tray either. go elite..i have. plenty of space for full game installs etc etc
