Could anyone help me please.
I am trying to find the lovely poem,that was posted on here recently,after
the bereavement of one of a CB,rs family.
Any help would be appreciated.
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
Morning yogi.
Yes,thats it.A very good friend of my daughters died yesterday aged 35 leaving
a husband and three young children.
I am going to let her use it in her message of condolence.
Many thanks. Regards dg.
Hallo again yogi.
I thought there was another one.They are both so lovely its difficult to know which one to choose.I think the second one might be best considering her age.
Thankyou for taking so much trouble,typing them all out.You are very kind.
Regards dg
I like the second one too......
It was posted, as you say, to an Ab'ers sad loss, by an AB'er called "loopyloola" and is just a lovely poem.
Whichever you decide on, i send you all my sympathies and thanks for your kind words to me.
Hi. I'm sat here in tears after reading those poems. My dear Auntie died on Sunday and it feels so raw at the moment but those poems seem to bring a bit of comfort. I think I will put that second poem in my Uncles card, thanx for posting those xxx
I'm sorry to hear about your loss daftgrandad, so young to be taken and with a small family is just heartbreaking x
Thankyou all so very much,for your kind words.
I e-mailed the second poem to my daughter and she replied,that,it had made her cry.
She has posted on her friends condolence blog.
My sincere sympathies to you Wingnut,on your recent loss.I am sure,like me,your Uncle will take comfort from these words.
many years i went to a very sad funeral (some are some arent) the chap that read the poem which started with the words 'there she blow's' he can't remember what it was, perhaps some of you good and kind people know it? sorry about daftgrandads extended family loss.
daftgrandad, please pass on my condolences to you daughter. The poem I read out at my sister's funeral was one which I had written. If you would like to use it you may. It goes; " She's just asleep, she'll never die, for in our thoughts she'll always lie. In our hearts her memory stays, as we all go our separate ways.O'er rockey road, through leafy lane, until we meet up once again. A date we know we'll surely keep, for we then too will be asleep. Marbert.
