My son smashed a youth club television

My Son has just kicked a football at youth club & smashed a brand new 40 " plasma TV. The youth club say that the excess & rise in premiums is not worth the claim on insurance so they want us to pay £500. We are a low income family I cant work due to disability & my husband is my carer. Is there anywhere we could get the help to pay the cost.

and you have answed it yourself if the youth worker said head it ! then he agree with the ball game so its him that pays.. yes your son is old enought to know better.. but there again the youth worker knows rules that he broken and because of it tv broken..
do not pay ! tell youth club to do car boot or brick a brack to get funds not your son ! your son can donate something he has grown out of as his part

as for the stupid comment about common sence and playing in doors.....that remark is to the youth worker or is he above rules ? to me he was watching and let them play ... with a brand new £500 tv there... what a fantastic youth worker ...but its ok lets blame the kids

What is the point of them having insurance if they are not going to use it?

Accidental damage caused by inaffectual supervision. They should claim off their insurance.

I think children with AD HD , can be impulsive , so broken telly , so what . they have insurance, please , please , please delly don't even think about paying .The club should be aware of his condition and more supervision was needed.
