I am going to a ruby wedding 'do' this weekend and I haven't got a clue what to get the couple! Has anyone got any ideas for a USEFUL present (no china or glass)? Willing to spend 40 pounds.
If you are willing to spend £40, put 40 new £1 coins in a red velvet pouch, we did this for in-laws Golden Wedding and they loved it. Ask the bank for new pound coins.
I bought my parents a National Trust one, they get to visit as many places in a month that they want to, a free cream tea (only one though!!) and so much off gift shop purchases.
I answered a post about a Golden Wedding where i suggested a hamper with all things gold All Gold chocolates, gold coffee etc.Perhaps you could do the same with things in red packaging?
I am still looking for ideas. They are not into gardening or visiting places of interest and I really don't want to give them cash or vouchers - so it looks like a large bouquet will have to suffice unless anyone can think of something else. Thanks to the 5 people who made suggestions though.
a really nice hamper of interesting food, stuff they would eat but wouldn't necessarily buy very often, with a big red bow on it? keeping to a red theme it could contain things like extra special tomato soup, shortbread in those red tartan boxes, some red leicester cheese, a bottle of some kind of spirit with a red label (smirnoff vodka?) and beer also with a red label, etc., etc., and perhaps with some red roses in it.
