Sat down with my 11 year old daughter to watch this when she stayed this weekend.
For a kids show it was very entertaining, informative for kids and in parts pretty funny.
Does anyone else enjoy them ?.
one of my favorite programmes, i have told endless people if they can buy it on dvd, or watch when they get the chance. Its funny, and as you say very imformative, gets me laughing, the actors play it for real. I love it, and if you haven't watched Shaun The Sheep, that is rolling in the aisles stuff.
Totally agree Booty, they are fantastic - extremely funny and educational at the same time. I have no little'uns to watch them with but me and the OH enjoy them immensely, to the point where I re watch some of them on youtube. Sad I know lol
sorry see others love shaun as much as me, check out the one where they hold a
Saturday Night Fever disco, i laughed so much, that tears were rolling down my face, its a delight. Always loved Wallace and Gromit, and this comes from same people.
sort of, but they use modern day mediums, taking the mickey out of soap operas, adverts, things you would instantly recognise, musical numbers and a whole mix of inventive skits, watch and judge for yourself. Its been around a long while, and the author Terry Deary has load of books out, which i might well buy.
I love Horrible Histories, and recommend it to families with children (though thankfully, they have usually already heard of it). I'm 48 and single. Good on the BBC for an entertaining and informative programme for youngsters (and those of us young at heart).
If you ever catch the musical edition they broadcast last Christmas, give it a watch, it contains the best songs from the first series.
we all need a laugh in these down times, so definitely recommended. I would play them in childrens wards in hospital, because there is nothing sadder than seeing a child in pain, or unhappy.
