And I am beginning to think this whole pregnancy is just another of them. He feeds her on legumes & prunes & she's just full of wind or has a cushion stuffed up there...

Just thought I'd say. My brain is getting frazzled by radioactive radiowaves or whatever from having the phone next to me 24/7.

Oh Sal, the joys of being an expectant grandparent - know it oh so well! When the phone goes the adrenaline starts gushing then when you answer it's some idioy from the subcontinents trying to flog you something or asking if you have 2 minutes to answer some questions!!
Has she had a scan?

About half a dozen.... actually I jest - I know there is a baby. And my son, despite being a little s0d sometimes with his 'jokes', would never pull this one on me!!!!
We had a false alarm yesterday
They rushed her to hospital at 7.30 am only to be told to go back home
We only have 6 days to go now!

They're starting off my (son's) lass on Thursday if Mother Nature hasn't taken its course..... It could all happen for us on the same day RR ;-)
Oh like you I just want it over with
Was a bit of a mad rush as we did not find out until she was 5 months and they had nowhere to live !!!

It'd better not happen tonight - I'm at the cinema. ;-)
Heh, i was like this just over a year ago. Torture isn't it Salla? If it helps you any, my daughter was 10 days overdue too,so i think (?) you'll be safe at flicks tonight- whatcha going to see?

It's Lil's choice this week - so a comedy - Bridesmaids. Although she'll be half cut by the time we actually get in the cinema, so the odds are she'll be asleep & dribbling by halfway through the film. She has a procedure - we meet in the pub & share a bottle, she giggles in the cinema when she first sits down & looks to see if there's anyone she knows, falls asleep, dribbles, farts & wakes herself up just before the end, then pretends she's seen the whole film and "wasn't it good mate?".
if she says "wasn't it good?" to this film, you'll know she's talking utter rollocks ;-)
Question Author
Really? Oh bummer - she hasn't chosen a good one yet. I thought she might have chosen well with this one :-(
Maybe I'll just fall asleep then?!
make sure lil don't go buying that dodgey boston vodka.
know how you feel SaB - my daughter was in S.Africa when first grandchild was due - I never left the house (and she was three weeks late so was living on dried biscuits!) - enjoy the excitement.

3 weeks? Whoa. I think, in the UK as a whole, a fortnight is about the limit before they induce. They're not leaving my lass to go over a week as she has had pre-eclampsia - so at least I know there'll be a babe by this coming weekend. God willing.
