Step Familes

Can anyone advise me on how to cope with step children?. Three of my children live with myself and my partner,as the others are away at college, and once ever three weeks he sees his children on a sunday, and then after the next three weeks they come to us for the weekend. I am finding this very hard and I know I shouldn't. I want to us all to be happy and get on but its so difficult. They are all teenagers and not particularly rude or unpleasant. Has anyone else been in the same situation. My children spend weekends with their father so the two families dont meet. Maybe I am jealous of them, I dont know, but I do want to do something about it. Help!!
