Is it just me who thinks she is going back to work too soon? Her daughter is 2 weeks old and I know Amanda's job isn't a 'job' like we'd do but after everything she's been through isn't it a bit soon? She almost died and had blood transfusions. Your hormones are all over the place when you've just had a baby. I've no doubt her baby will be in her dressing room being well looked after but I just think woah, you really are a money/fame grabber.
Surely she doesn't need the money and her newborn daughter should be her number 1 priority.

Anyway, just my opinion.

no. Personally from reading the papers carefully, i don't reckon she was "all that" ill - loads of women need blood after childbirth, and "intensive care" in a private hospital is NOT the same as "intensive care" as you would think of it. Perhaps the dad is looking after the baby - loads of couples do it that way round if the mum earns more
ps loads of mums also go back after the statutory legal minimum time off too

I'm sure if other women had almost died like it had been reported, their Dr wouldn't sign them fit for work
well then that just proves that she didn't "almost die" then doesn't it?

I don't understand why her publicist would have lied about it though?
i'm not saying the publicist lied. if you have a low HB through blood loss, and don't get transfused you will die, therefore, i suppose it's accurate to say she "nearly died" or would have done without a transfusion. However, she had one, so didn't
You would have thought she might have preferred to spend time with her new baby considering that miscarriage she had the other year but apparently not. Not as if she needs the money.
No one knows whether she needs the money or not, and besides many women go back to work at far harder careers, jobs than hers.
But when she doesn't actually need to, I wonder why she bothered to have a family if career is more important.
How does anyone know that 'she doesn't need the money'?! Do you know how much her mortgage is? School fees? Just because someone works on the TV does not mean they are mega rich.... the bills still have to be paid every month!
she is sitting behind a desk with a posh frock on!

sounds easier than minding a baby to me!

she DIDN'T have a miscarriage, her baby was stillborn.
there was someone on here who wanted to go back to her work before the two weeks mandatory mat leave was up, and she didn't get criticized, but because it's a "celebrity" apparently that gives everyone the right to comment on her money, her decisions and how she should feel!
I never got why she is on it anyway. I know shes done acting work (which was crap imo) but she is largely famous for marrying some old duffer and having an affair. I really dont see the appeal in her at all.
she has had a miscarriage AND a stillbirth in the past!

i would have thought she would have enjoyed her baby more, but one day "off" isn't neglect!
Each to their own..I have known mums to be up and about the same day ..back to work the next !!!..not for me...
I gave birth Friday evening and was back at work Monday morning...

I did work from home....

That's life though...needs must and all that.

Stop Helen....let people be outraged!!
Go, ladies, go!!!

Give another woman a good kicking because she's not doing things the way you think she ought to!

Having all the facts at your disposal must have helped you reach your considered conclusion....
Good luck to her if that's what she wants to do. It's nobody's business but hers and no one knows what her circumstances are.
