Throwing things away
28 Answers
I have just had a clearout and came across an old bible given to my daughter in primary school, I decided to throw it away but I felt uncomfortable about it. I have no idea why.
I also feel uncomfortable about throwing away stuff the kids made, even worse if they stick a little picture of your child on the picture!, to be fair though the house would be filled to bursting if I kept it all! is there anything that you feel odd throwing away?

I have moved house and even taken the plank with me! When he came to visit a few months ago he was looking in the storage box in the garden and could not believe I had kept it. I just cant throw it away
My mum kept hold of virtually every picture, story, piece of craftwork, miscellaneous crap that my sisters and I ever made at school. After she died, house clearance took ages, but it was quite an entertaining, if bittersweet, nostalgia trip. We were a bit taken aback when we found a tin full of baby teeth, though.
I keep old photos, but that's about it.

I struggle with throwing out the kids stuff, I've got all their school work from primary school, I keep telling myself that I'll sort through it and get rid but I know I won't, I've kept all the cards they made me, not bought ones though, i'll need a spare room soon to put it all in.
