Sats
2 Answers
Just been talking to grandson. He and 5 other pupils in Year 7 have been 'chosen' to sit level 6 Maths, meant for year 8. He pointed out it would not help them, leaving in July, but would make the school results look better.
What a reward for being able. They are being taken out of other lessons which they enjoy (including P.E.) He asked me if I tought it was fair. I said no.

I think it's good that he has been identified as quite strong and is being stretched. I don't see it'll harm him in the long term.
If he will be changing schools it'll be good that the new school has the correct level for him so they can plan his learning accordingly
