What is the appropriate punishment of how to handle two boys, ages eight and twelve that fights like cats and dogs all the time

If they're not actually killing each other, I'd interfere as little as possible. All siblings fight to a certain degree and it helps them to learn how to deal with other people in a 'safe' environment. I know it can be wearing for mum and dad, and if it gets out of hand then sitting the two down and handing out some sort of appropriate 'punishment' eg sending them to their rooms, giving them tasks to do (a very good one as it is productive which I approve). What ever you do, don't try to get to the bottom of the argument as you'll just prolong the agrro and the kids will love it! Good luck. I know it's hard to believe but they will grow out of it!!

I always argued with my bro and sis, but wierdly that has brought us closer together now. I know it's not nice to deal with but I guess that kids will be kids!

No welsh and proud i disagree, you should seperate the two boys and let them just play alone for a while untill they calm down. Works for me.
