Startle Reflex

Hi, my daughter is 8 months old and since birth she has shown the startle reflex once or twice a week. Over the last couple of days this has been happening a lot, maybe 15 or 20 times a day, there doesnt appear to be any reason for this, no loud noise or anything unusual is happening at the time. Apart from this she seems very well, has any one got any ideas why this may be?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi, I don't want to alarm you but it is probably best to see the doctor, my two-year-old started doing the same thing a few months ago, as if something had made him jump, and he has just been diagnosed with a form of epilepsy. It may not be the same thing but it is worth getting it checked out.
