You do not realise how many neck movements you make in a day until you strain a muscle at the gym!!
Just raising my head off the pillow was a struggle, then showering, getting chamged, driving to work, finding a comfortable position to sit at my desk, even drinking my brew!!!

Question: Cold or warm compress? Paracetemol or Ibruprofen?

1. Either. Warm is more comforting, cold IMO better for spasm relief.
2. Either. paracetamol can be taken on an emptyish stomach but may make you sleepy (it does me) Ibuprofen is less kind to the tum but doesn't make you sleepy (at least it doesn't affect me like that)
Use the painkillers & stop rubber necking at the women using the equipment. It can put a terrible strain on your neck:-)
""Cold or warm compress?""...................it doesn't matter.

"" Paracetemol or Ibruprofen?""...............it doesn't matter.
I'm a frequent sufferer from neck-pain and I made a sausage-shaped cotton bag of about a kilo (2lbs) filled with sand. I put this in the microwave for 1 minute and place it on my neck twice a day, I find it relaxes, and helps remove the pain. This was recommended to me by a specialist.
