Although the Dz it self is irrelevant at this time due to a fusion of the wrist in 1995, other issues as a result of having Kienbock's Dz have taken over to deliver pain on a constant basis, (RPS and Complex Regional Pain Disorder).
Hi, I've had this dz for about 3 years my consultant advised me its very rare and there is no ideal way of dealing with it either way you will likely suffer. I had a bone graph to try and re-grow the bone which failed and made my wrist worse, its now in more pain I have less movement and I have arthritis in my wrist. Unfortunately I have it in both wrists. I would say that its always worth considering having no surgery my doctor advised me that in would be worse with out the surgery but my wrist that has had no surgery is not as bad as the wrist that has. hope this helps
