Maintenance Payments

I split with my daughters father 3 years ago.  Each month he pays me �200 without fail.  I want to know if people in a similar situation i.e. without CSA involvement actually up the payment annually? He has a very good job and I am not out to bleed him dry, we get on great, daughter is happy etc etc.  But it is always us (husband and I ) who pay for the additions i.e. ballet, holidays, swimming lessons etc.  Do you think asking for say a 10% annual increase would be unreasonable?

If your daughters father pays towards schooling (uniform) and clothes and the �200.00 - Thats okay.. CSA is horrid and unfair. Your new husband took on your daughter, knowing the extra costs? If your working and your partner, no, I don't think you should as for more... you get child credit and working credit (I guess) how much more do you wish to get... I'm a mother, but when partners split, woman always get everything and get greedy. The father has got to live too !

my ex husband pays �400 per month for my two children(aged 10 and 7). divorce was amicable so CSA was not involved. Whenever his wages go up i get half of what the raise is. i work part time also but do not have a new partner. i take the children on holiday every year(abroad) and pay for things like Karate, swimming birthday parties etc. We split the cost of Christmas, school uniforms, shoes and coats. You could try working out how much you need to the cover the costs you have mentioned and see if he is agreeable to raising the amount. My ex was more agreeable when he could actually see where the money was going
