Would You Hire This 'entertainer' For Your Child's Birthday Party??
21 Answers
A birthday party with a difference for your children. This is what they say on youtube:
"Giant albino Burmese python swims with girl.
This is our 8 yr. old Burmese Python named Sumatra.
She has been to over 500 birthday parties and many schools, she has been around kids since she was a baby, she has never killed anything she even likes our dogs and cat."

If things go badly, that snake could crush a human before anyone had time to react.
Animals are unpredictable - even domestic dogs and cats. Just because the snake has never harmed anyone does not mean you can make the foolish assumption that it never will - and there will be no b obvious signals that it has decided to fatally change its behaviour until it is too late.
It's an unpleasant idea, and I can't imagine many children putting it down as their first choice for a party experience.

Bloody tablet.....
Animals - either wild or domesticated may be nice to us and see us as a friend. But if things don't go their way or they get scared they are going to lash out. Can you image the damage a Tiger would do ?!
I don't know anything about snakes - but the Pythons can and do eat human adults.
Maybe I will get a Wolf instead. :-)

I note the anthropomorphication of the snake by its owner - "She even likes our dogs and cat ..."
It's a snake! It has three default positions - potential prey, potential threat, and indifference - 'liking' is unlikely to feature in its perception of the world around it.
The only way I would allow anyone near a snake that size if I owned it would be if I was to ask it if it was too full to want to crush anything in the next few hours, and it was able to answer Yes thank you.

Andy - I don't think that animals such as reptiles or creepy crawlies have the mental ability to make bonds of friendship with humans. Our expectations are too high and their brains are not wired that way.
Mammals are more intelligent. Lots of people say that dogs/cats are only our friends because we feed them, look after them, house them. love and pamper them and give them a radiator to hug. Are human to human relationships so different? The basic psychology is the same. We form friendships and relationships for the same basic reasons.
That said - should I die at home and not be found I am not sure when my cats will no longer think of me as a source of food and cuddles to actually being the food.
:-) ☺☺
