when i have a baby, if its a girl, i want it to sound similar to my daughters name but really unusual. any unusual ideas for a girls name sounding and starting with "Sha" not sharon!!!!
Just found www.babynameworld.com. It gives names from around the world. I quite liked the Celtic girls name, Shayla, ( which I suppose is a form of Sheila) but with fewer Aussie connotations.
Thanks everyone!! Her names actually begins with "Cha" but is pronounced "Sha". Some good suggestions some of them are really nice - see what the other half thinks!! Cheersxxxx
Its best to keep it short if you can. When the child gets to school age, its easier to learn to write their name if it doesn't have too many letters. But that's another point.
I'm a primary school teacher and the most 'popular' names in our school begin with Sh/Ch an C/K. So in the last few years there's been (girls sh/ch only listed)Shenai, Shena, Shenice, shannon, sheaylin, Shanna, Seanie, Chantelle, charlotte, Shile, Shameela every different spelling of these as well. I have a theory they are the sharons of the future sorry.
