So why was nothing done to remove the child ?

All children should be removed from the care of drug addicts IMO.

Three weeks old and all those injuries. I simply cannot comprehend how anyone, even someone high on drugs could do such a thing. That poor baby must have been in absolute agony almost every minute of his short life.

They deserve noth8ng less than life in prison. And I mean life and not pretend life where they’re out in five to ten years.

I cannot believe the wickedness of these two people. I hope they have a long and very unpleasant time in prison although I think that their time will not be as nasty as I would hope. I would execute them but I know that's not possible.

Time to introduce a law where a neighbour MUST see a child on a daily basis and sign a witness card to say the child is safe. Or something similar.
