I had another shock to the knees yesterday and pain is travelling down one leg - I can get by during the day not moaning but as as soon as I am in bed I am wailing wailing much to my embarrassment (due to my neighbours).
Even the dog has jumped off the bed and I am on here as well. Have plastered the knees with the rubs and taken painkillers but still I am rolling the bed.
I have osteoarthritis in the knees and yesterday run out of petrol (have repeated this) - some guys pushed me but didn't see me fall out of driving seat or one leg in seat to try and steer - I got out so that the car wouldn't be so heavy but then needed to get in to steer with the result - I had one leg in and body was on the ground and trailed a little. I then was lifted and really am feeling ok except the osteoarthritis has been exacerbated - so I am in so much pain.
Have you considered getting a knee support/strap? I have one which has metal spars/bars in it for more support. It prevents my knee from twisting while I'm in bed. That, along with doses of Ibuprofen when needed, does the trick.
had to fall back on this post - I don't think people realise - that whilst the guys (bless them) were pushing me - my left leg was inside the car to try and steer the car - the other right leg was outside with my whole body and guys trailing my body along when the other drivers of the other side of the road got me out of the car and the way I am pretends I';m ok - goes on untowardly to the petrol station buys petrol and drives home without people realising I could have been mowed over by my own car and even when I tell siblings - "Ach that's just jenny joan". But I'm in a bad way today - it was another accident - from 2017.
I want to meet my mother in heaven (hopefully soon)
the past two mornings - left leg is locked unbelievably paralysed so instead of panicking - I will give it time and breathe easily , try and wriggle foot, then thigh and so it goes on and on - perhaps after 45 minutes whole leg starts to move and I can stand.
