I haven't dyed my hair for a few years but when I did I used a carrier bag around my head. It seems that even that isn't safe these days.

how awkward. Perhaps she should have got something that made her hair say "Big Mac".
It could have been worse - a Tesco bag
That's so funny - thanks for posting it.
LOL I remember when us ( fashionable lads at the time had 'Highlights' ) that tugging yer hair through the little holes was painful.
I know how she feels, Wolf. During a stay in hospital...room of my own...I washed a few pairs of white knickers and put them on the radiator covered with hospital towels.
When I removed the towels my knickers had Calgary General Hospital printed backwards in blue across them. :-(

Big Mac! I must admit that didn't twig when I read it.

Years ago my mum volunteered to put highlights in my hair. I had the little hat on and she started work. She started jabbing the hook through the hole with some force, it hurt. After a little while I asked her to stop and my dad took over. He was totally bemused by the whole thing but he was much gentler than my mum. She actually caused sore bits and drew blood.

Gness - only you could achieve that!

I've got the munchies and I am going down to see what is for eating.
Disposable shower caps liberated from hotel rooms, they do loads of dye days before falling apart. If not cling film...
