I was cleaning out my books and decided to re read the

Cat Who series by Lilian Jackson Braun, light reading for those who know how intelligent their fur babies are. The final two in the series were probably not written by Ms. Braun as they lost the plot somewhat but the others are purrfect for wet winter reading

I've just wrapped a copy of this for a cat-loving friend's birthday.  It gets excellent reviews across many sites:

For a good series of books (which have nothing at all to do with cats), I'm just getting into these at the moment and I'm happy to recommend them to others:

The best cat book I have ever read is Slinky Malinki by Lynley Dodd.

Also enjoyed the Silent Miaow by Paul Gallico

^^^ I always knew that you're just a big kid at heart, Hoppy 😊

That book is part of a series too:

I've read most of those (as bed time stories to my little ones many years ago)

My 2 favourite cat books are Stray by AN Wilson...written from the point of view of an old, experienced stray boy.

The second is On Cats by Doris Lessing...a memoir of the many cats she'd known since childhood. Not sentimental...dating from a time when cats lived outside to earn their keep.

And, for children...Six Dinner Sid...who is fed by everyone in the neighbourhood.

Oh we loved six dinner Sid

Loved The Cat Who books but if we're talking Slinky Malinky and Six Dinner Sid, for dog lovers you can't get better than Hairy Maclary from Donaldsons Dairy also by Lynley Dodd. Great series of books, I still love them.
