As they are both in prison, on the same wing, I can't see any problem with them associating with each other.

I wouldn't be surprised if Letby appeals successfuly at some stage in the future.  I heard a respected statistician explaining the flawed nature of some key statistics, and that whilst Letyby was present when X % of incidents occurrred, so were lots of other people.

Ok, it's off topic as this is more about Sharif, but I don't know what rues you could put in place about who can become friends with whom. The prisons are full of criminals. End of, as someone says

and he has denied he has recanted ( yes I know implied double negative) and said he never said that

The defence doctor declined to give evidence as it was said on the street - he cd not support his clients story

Many people, including of all things The New Yorker, have cast doubt on her conviction. Even mathematicians have challenged the 'compelling' evidence.

I personally feel there are grounds for a re-examination of this case.

I would have said it should be encouraged as it means there is less violence. Prisons being what they are

This didnt happen with Beverley Allitt - BUT - didnt she do shifts where the patients started dying ? ( classical  pattern, Toronto 1976)

I heard a respected statistician explaining the flawed nature of some key statistics,

I heard some statistician and thought he was saying " I want to earn a few bob by being a defence expert" it is not an exact science

and if you have one death a month average ( 12 a year) and then one month there are three - is that significant? You should certainly investigate ( which I dont think they did). *f you have six in a month and do nothiing, you are risking your career. 

and not say - "oh this is a variation which is quite common actually so go back to your coffee"

Oh air embolism

If you x ray a baby who has died suddently and there is air in the veins ( which  you can see, even medical students are trained to spot it) then someone has injected air

so now the issue is - someone is killing the babies the question is who?

mercury from an old thermometer ended up in a  dead patients axilla ( easily seen on X ray)
