My daughter is one next month. All her little friends are also one next month. There's five of them in total (we all met at post-natal), and their birthdays all fall within a fortnight.

The other four are having little tea parties but as my daughter's birthday is the last of the bunch, i want to do something a bit different to relieve the monotony!

Any suggestions? As it will be the end of april i'm hoping it might be a nice spring day and we could perhaps go to the park, but if the weather's pants, i'm stumped.

What can you do with a bunch of one-year-olds?

Hi i have this problem as well my daughter was born on x mas eve and who wants to go to a party on xmas eve. Have you got a childrens indoor play centre with ball pits and slides etc near you, i cant think of the name you call them. If not a brewers fayre have play areas in their restaurants and you could have a little party there they do sarnies so wouldnt be too expensive but the kids can all go and play while you sit back and relax its hard i know. Good luck though i cant think what else you can do im affraid

The kids are going to be ONE! They can't go and play in a ball pit while their mums hang about at the side! Surely?!

Yes ONE i did read the question betsylou at the play houses they have soft areas for children that are ONE with walkers, push along toys, swings, ball pits its called the 0 to 2 area down here
OK, calm down! Blimey. You did say 'ball pits and slides' - can't remember being 1 myself but i'm pretty sure my parents wouldn't have let me clamber up slides on my own at that age...
have u may be got a zoo near to where you live may be you could all arange a trip of some sort i know again thats weather permitting have a good time whatever u decide to do
What monotomy??? You may think so, but one year olds will be quite happy sitting on your floor with a load of plastic pots, spoons and other toys. How about a load of old wrapping paper for them to pull apart and roll about in?? (Even better outside if the weather is fine). I assume the parents will be there too so you can all chill with a glass of wine or 2 while the little ones have fun. Alot less stressful than dragging tired, cold babies down to the park or around a zoo.

Do you have to have 5 separate parties, couldn't you pick a date in the middle and have one big get together, maybe at the biggest house, or in a park, or pub with play area etc? You could all put some cash in to make it a bigger do than any of the individual ones would be.

If they are all walking (or at least standing) then they should be OK with a squishy play area. Some places you can hire the entire play area to have to yourself, maybe that's an idea?

Go to a swimming pool for a splash party, great fun for the kids and parents too. There must be a one near you somewhere that offers parties !!?? It's an ideal solution for you.
