His sweatiness doesn't seem to be linked to anything else - its the same whether he sleeps all night in bed or has a quick nap through the day on the setee - summer or winter!!
He has always hated being covered up with blankets or wearing any PJ's so now I tend to just let him sleep in vest/t-shirt and underpants with a light quilt as his bedroom is fairly warm.
Maybe its hereditary, according to my mum, I was exactly the same!!

With sweaty kids - as people have said, it is nothing to worry about. But there can be side effects of over sweating, you just need to be careful they drink enough, not just water but things like squash and juice, because we lose salts when we sweat.
My cousin has cystic fibrosis and one of the side effects of this is REALLY salty sweat - she smells like the sea on a hot day! Her mum has to make sure that in the summer she always has salt on her food to replace what she loses.
Of course for 'normal' kids extra salt like this is not necessary, but make sure they're well hydrated throughout the day.
