Hi,

Does anyone know at what age a child should be able to start writing eg their own name?

Should be able to write theie name in lower case letters by the time they start school. So 4 ish.

Cool, thanks - My son has been writing his name for a little while now and he'll be 4 at Christmas, so about right. Cheers

cant help on the writing Q but just wanted to ask how your son is? What did GP say about the rash?
just encourage you child to write its name it dosent have to be before they go to school each one will do it when its ready with the right help they will all do it in the end dont pressure him. they learn through play.

he's fine now thanks red, it was just a viral rash - he was much better by the next day and just had a cold for a few days after that!
