can anyone recommend a car seat for a 10 month old baby? My problem is that the seatbelts in the rear of my vw golf are quite short and won't fit round any of the seats i've tried.

You can try halford, they fit a good one for you. I would have one fitted right, for the safety of your baby. P.s Be safe than sorry. I would, I've got 4 of my own.

is it for a front facing or rear facing seat?
rear facing, the britax rockatot has 2 ways of routing the belt.
most front facing dont need a long belt.
