But other things can also cause mood swings, I would speak to your mom about it, and say you think that this seems to happen with no known trigger. If you were in the UK you could go to your GP and they would give advice, I'm assuming it's not the same where you are. In which case is there a teacher or learning mentor you could ask who could give you and your mom advice on where to get help?
Hello Hinder,
As Curiosity says, your hormones are all over the place when you're younger however I suspect there is something else going on with you. Are you struggling in school? Is something else frustrating you in your homelife that you feel powerless to deal with? Think hard, maybe make a list of the things that you're happy about in your life and the things that make you sad. Don't think when you do it, just write. Then maybe you'll begin to see what else might be troubling you and from there work out a way to deal with it.
Are you close to you mother? If so, talk to her and maybe go to the GP together. Do you have a guidance counsellor? Perhaps they could help too.
Also, try keeping a diary. Sometimes just writing things down on a daily basis will help get them out of your head and make you feel better.
I hope some of this helps xx

Hello again Hinder,
I'm glad you'll try the list. There is usually an underlying cause of mood swings and so not necessarily completely down to hormones. The hormones however will help in making problems that are actually quite tiny seem enormous. Hopefully keeping a diary and a list will help you identify these and actually see them for what they are.
As for the pill.... I'm don't have enough clinical knowledge for this but hopefully someone will come along who has. I think that it could help with the hormones and will regulate your period but as I already said, if there is an underlying cause then no tablet will help with this. As far as clots go, again, not enough clinical knowledge but I think the risk of clots is raised significantly if you're overweight, over a certain age and a smoker. You would have to see your GP anyway to get this so they'd be much better placed to advise you.
As for the moods.... well you could try taking primrose oil which a friend of mine swears by of St Johns Wort (sp?) which is supposed to be a natural help with depression. Relaxation techniques may also help you when you're bouncinig off the walls in class... when something is getting to you take deep breaths and count to 10. Do not speak before you have done this as it will give you time to consider your response. I'm sure if you google relation techniques you'll find a lot more that can help you.
