I'm wondering if any one can help with some legal requirements over children. My ex partner has my daughter and she will not let my partner or myself to see her or have anything to do with her.
I was paying money to her until my current partner and I lost our jobs and had no income so we had to stop the payments until we got a new job, now she wont let us see my daughter at all, we have tried to get contact in every way we can but she refuses to speak to us at all. Now, I'm not on her birth certificate so does this cause a problem? If so can anyone help? Is there anything that can help me? My partner and I want nothing more than to be in my daughters life. Please someone help!

I'm no expert, but i would seriously consider going to your soicitor and instigating legal proceedings to gain a contact order. It may require you to have a blood test / DNA test to prove you are the Father.
You don't say how old you're child is and whether they want to see you?? Please take this into consideration before proceeding as as parents, we sometimes forget what the children want over what we want.

Good luck! As a dad, your ex has not rights (except possible abuse) to prevent you from seeing your child.
Stick at it, but do it for your child as well!!

I forgot to say my daughter is only 1 year old and friends have told me that she keeps saying dada. As with a contact order, as far as I know she has to sign it and I'm prity sure sure she will not do that!
Alex, i dont think your ex will agree to a contact order, thats why you will have to take it to court - sadly.
From experience, if you love your child and can offer valuable experiences and most importantly LOVE, then going to court will be cool. It proves to your ex that your serious about seeing your baby.
Can i also add that you can instruct the CSA to pay a nominal amount from any benefit that you receive = 5.00 per fortnight. That also goes in your favour as any Judge can see that even though your not working, your still comitted to paying towards your baby's upkeep.

Good Luck and best wishes

P.S.....does you ex have a residence order? I'm not sure if that makes a difference as your not on the birth certificate, but its worth looking into and maybe requesting a joint residence??
