vomiting during pregnancy
I am 21 weeks pregnant. Sometimes I eat so much and are so full I can feel my food in my throat. I know I shouldn't eat so much to feel this way, but I cant stop during that moment. By the time I hit the restrrom to pee I end up throwing up some of my food. This has happend to me like 4 times in this pregnancy. Could I be hurting by baby?

Your hormones maybe arnt telling your body your full. And note that the weight certainly will not come off once youve had the baby so it will be harder to work off with all the stuff your eating. Ive given up trying to get my baby weight off!!!! hehehe. Good luck. POOPY
Hi,
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Being able to 'feel the food in your throat' might actually be heartburn. This is very common in pregnancy and some of your food can come back up into your throat. It can also cause you to vomit. You might also get an acidy feeling in your throat. As with any pregnancy symptom it'd be advisable to check this with your midwife.
There is medication that you can take for this. In the UK it's called Gaviscon, and it's safe to take when pregnant.
It's normal to be really hungry when you're pregnant, partly due to the baby's needs and I guess also because your body's doing so much more work and needs all the energy it can get! I didn't worry about it when I was pregnant, it's a good excuse to eat what your body feels like. My attitude was that eating made me happy and my body really needed it, and worrying about my weight would make me stressed! However, if it's making you sick it's obviously not a good thing and you should get checked out.
I'm sure it's not hurting your baby. Some people are sick through their whole pregnancy but the medical staff should be made aware that it's happening.
I hope this annoying symptom disappears soon, and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
