Hi

My boyfriend suffers from psoriasis on the scalp and elbows.

Does anyone have creams, diet changes, herbal cures or anything that can help?

I know there is a special soap he should use, but I can't remember the name of it - not much help really sorry.

Polytar shampoo is fantastic for the scalp and you can buy a coal-tar soap as well,both from boots or any other pharmacy i should imagine,i get mine on prescription.

He could try eliminating daity produce and sugar from his diet - both exascerbate the condition.

A Friend of mine suffers badly with this and goes for light treatment on the NHS, which is like a sunbed but in short doses. I really does work

Hi carron, my husband uses nizoral shampoo as he suffers psoriasis on his scalp and it works for him. It might mean trying a few products before your boyfriend finds one that suits him.

I saw a program recently about a little girl that was almost totally covered.
She'd had every conventional treatment known to man with no joy.
As a last resort she tried Chinese medicine. They got it down to 2 small patches.
Something about bringing the body back into balance.
It's not cheap though (NHS is very cheap) and involves drinking nasty tasting substances. But if it makes you better WTF!
