Hello!
I fell pregnant a few years back and had my first appointment with the midwife to do all the paperwork, listen to heartbeat etc. She didn't find a heartbeat, but wasn't worried. A few weeks later, I miscarried, but luckily got pregnant again quite quickly. When the checking-in appointment came around, the same midwife came to see me again. She noticed the look on my face and asked if I was OK. I told her about what had happened, and said how worried I'd been that it would happen again, and that if she didn't find a h/b this time, I couldn't cope. She then told me she didn't always find one at so early a stage and that it meant nothing, but best of all, she said,"let's find this baby now, and if I don't find it today, I'm coming back every day until I do."
What I'm trying to say is that you've heard your baby - you must relax and not worry. It's so normal to fret over all of these strange things happening to you, but you must try not to! But most importantly, your midwife would hate for you to be worried, when she could so easily put your mind at rest. They really are special people. Go to see her immediately! When mine found a h/b that day, I cried and cried and cried, and all my worry vanished. Yours could do the same in an instant, and then you could enjoy your fantastic journey!
From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the very best xx
