Baby bumping his head/falling-problem solved!!
Hi, not a question, would just like to give something back to my fellow ABers! Have had immense trouble with my little boy- 7 1/2 months now and pulling himself up on the couch, table-you name it!! All he wants to do is stand and all he seems to do is fall and the result is some painful bumps and bruises as he's falling from standing(heartbreak for us too!) I found a foam padded "safety helmet" that babies can wear from 6 months upwards-have used it for a couple of days and he forgets its on after a minute or after distraction- ITS GREAT!! He looks shocked at the fact he bangs his head and it doesn't hurt-whilst still learning to be careful by bumping his knees etc but NOT damaging his little skull. I read 500,000 babies/toddlers a year go to hospital after head injuries- so just wanted to share this with other Mums/Dads who have babies attempting to walk/pull up etc as I had looked for a while and yes it does look a little daft but I'd rather he looked daft than really hurt himself. Now you probably all think I'm daft,LOL!! Hope this can help anyone else who is terrified of their super active baby hurting his bonce :O)
