My mum has a residency order and this year its been agreed all round inc my daughter that she comes back to me. My mum is happy with this and this what my daughter wants . There is no violence or medical reasons for his it was while i was in the services. I have had constant contact with my daughter stayed with me every school holidays etc. Does this residency order mean my daughter by law cannot live with me if every party agrees, if so how can this be changed.

hi
a residence order states where the child lives. Normally used in divorce to settle custody issues. However as you all agree your daughter is to live with you i would pop into a solicitor for some free advice most do it or even citizens advice and see if you have to go through the courts to get it changed into your name. Good luck
If all parties agree there is no problem: your daughter can live with you and this will not be contested. However, since there is a court order estab;ishing her residence elsewhere, it would make sense to have the order rescinded to avoid any future complications. A family court could do thi on an agreed basis in half an hour
if all parties agree then no problem but if ur child wants to go back to ur mums u have no choice but to let her/him
