With my daughter 6 years ago, I didnt really bother with maternity clothes as I mainly wore loose and comfortable jogging bottoms and borrowed my larger sisters trousers for going out in! I did have a pair of maternity jeans and trousers but didnt get them til I was over 20 weeks pregnant. This time round however..........Im only 11 weeks and having to get maternity clothes already!!! Either this is going to be one huge baby or it twins!!!!! lol
Hiya
I was about 16 weeks pregnant when I started wearing maternity clothes.
My best-buy was a pair of maternity jeans from Dorothy Perkins, I think they were about 22 and I lived in them. I didn't have a vast maternity wardrobe I just bought a few things that I could mix-and-match.
I read somewhere that the average spend on maternity wardrobe is 900! I might have spent 200, I didn't see the point in spending loads on clothes which would only last 6 months.
Take care & happy shopping x

i was about 16 weeks but i was showing at 13 weeks depending what clothes i tried to wear.
I had a few maternity tops and jeans and one smart shirt and trousers. Eventually though I got so uncomfortable that i lived from 35 - 42 weeks in maternity dungerees from mothercare. I loved those dungers and yet id always sworn i'd never buy a pair.

Hi, I think by about 15 weeks i was beginning to show but instead of buying maternity wear i put an elastic band through the buttons on my pants to make them a bit comfier and wore a longer top to cover it. I bought maternity wear at about 18-20 weeks. I only bought the bare essentials though and I am glad i did as now I am 30 weeks I am having to buy more pants etc as I have grown quite rapidly. you dont realise how much you need to spend on clothes!! I bet i have spent nearly 200 on bra's alone!! and they are still growing!!
