Water infection or appendix?

These were the two extremes of what doctors believed was wrong with me at the beginning of the week!
For those who had been reading redcrx thread in this section Monday will know I was not having a good and poorly, things only got worse it ended with me being admitted to hospital! I was put on a drip, as I was very dehydrated after been so ill all day, and nil by mouth until doctors had decided whether it was my appendix needing surgery or not.
The next day they finally allowed me to eat and drink although kept me on the drip. They had decided I had definately got an infection due to my repetitive high temperature and fevers but they wasnt 100% sure where, they assumed it was a water infection but didnt put me on anti biotics til later on that day!
Last night they finally let me out! Yay! Still in some discomfort and feeling like a pin cushion but Im on the mend and get another week off work.....Woohoo! Ive been told though that I have to take it easy from now on and if ever I feel poorly Im to get a sick note straight away so I dont spend the remaining 23 weeks of my pregnancy in and out of hospital!

So has anyone missed my prescence on here? lol (sorry had to ask a question and thats the best I could do!)

Sorry to hear things got that bad hun. I take it bubs is happy as larry and isnt at all bothered by it?

I cant believe it took so long for them to give you any AntiBs, surely your urine samples wouldve been enough to show you have an infection somewhere?

Morning girls! Feeling better today thanks, even let my boyfriend go back to work lol think he needed the break!

Yes red, baby isnt bothered by any of it at all apparently lol
The problem with finding out what was wrong was that nothing was showing in my urine tests hence why they kept thinking it was my appendix. The only tests that werent coming back 100% were my bloods.

Psychick sweetheart , what a rough time youv'e had . I do hope you are feeling as though you are getting better and that it has settled down , uti or appendicitis . Keep drinking plenty fluids and rest up when you can . (( HUGS)) :-)

You poor wee thing! Hope you're feeling better now. You'd know if it was your appendix - the pain is awful and even the thought or smell of food makes you physically sick. Hope things are better for you from now on. K xx

Hi Kleiber, I dont think they actually thought it was appendicitis, more along the lines of a grumbling appendix whixh I have had in the past. I think their main concern was that it was the start of something due to me being pregnant....... thankfully though it wasnt! Oh, and the thought and smell of food has made me feel ill through most of the pregnancy so far! lol

The anti b's are kicking in and Im starting to feel like my old self :)

Oh, well, Psychick, at least you won't put on too much extra weight during your pregnancy!! (Unlike me - I'm still trying to lose it, 19 years later...!!). Glad you're feeling better, pet. Kxx
