Has not your son got a passport?
Everytime I have been to France, by ferry and eurostar, i have had to show my passport!
I took my nephew on holiday and the travel agent advised me to take a letter with me from his parents giving me permission to take him out of the country. No one questioned us right enough but we had it with us just in case.
At this stage your best bet would be to phone the travel company and ask their advice. If going by Eurostar (?) or a particular airline contact them.
I would right a letter just incase, that's what my mum did when my auntie took me to the states but no one ever asked to see the letter xx

Yes he has a passport, but as he hasn't the same surname as myself or my mum ( im not going anyway) I was just a bit concerned that they maybe stopped if they thought he was being kidnapped?! ( I do like to panic about this sort of thing at the last minute). Yes he is going by eurostar and I have written a letter but will try and find out who they booked it with and call them...
THANK YOU
xx
I;m sure if anyone kidnapped him they wouldnt have his passport too :-)
