6mth old with Asthma??
2 Answers
I also posted this in family, so apologise for the repeat. Basically for half my little boys life (he is only 6 months old) he has been tortured with a severe cough. He has been given 3 different antibiotics, and two courses of steriods (and diagnosed whooping cough and croup). But the cough never lifted. Last night was particularly bad, as he seemed to be choking on flem when he was taking a coughing fit.
I rang childrens A&E and the nurse said it def sounds like Asthma and that with asthma you can get allergic croup, and sticky mucas at night.
But when I looked it up on net, apparently its difficult to diagnose in babies. Has anyone been in same situation, with a baby who has/had asthma. Please. Thank you.

I did find that a few people i talked to, had to basically bug their doctors 2-3 times a week making appointments, to force the Dr take notice. This may be what you need to try next as some Drs are extremely pushed to the limit and don't have the time to listen properly. Which results in them thinking we are paranoid mums the majority of the time.
Just to give you something positive though, my daughters was quite severe while she was a baby and toddler.. but she turned 7 on Friday and we have only had to use her inhaler twice in the last 3 years. I hope your little boy can get some relief and help soon.
