I think current advise seems to be to take it slowly because of the connection they are making with food intolerances in later life. Its really hard though isn't it?? My youngest (Evie May) is 10months now but is the hugriest baby ever. How many bottles does she have during the day? I never gave mine baby rice as its horrible. What about some pureed veg?
Hiya, my sisters boy is 13 weeks. Shes had him on wheatabix mixed with his baby milk for about 2 weeks cos he was hungry all the time. He also has some of those baby food jars (which I think are foul). The health visitor gave her the official talk about how he was too young really etc then when she was done said that her baby was on solids from 9 weeks and if they're hungry and they need it then go ahead. Hes started sleeping right through again sine he started on food
As the answers suggest there are a lot of hungry babies out there. It is normal for young babies to be very hungry and its hard work. But their digestive systems are not really ready for most solid food until they are at least 4mths old. Sometimes excessive crying can be due to the fact they cant cope with the solid food. Wheat (gluten) should only really be given at 6mths as well as dairy. A little bit of baby rice will probably be ok but if you can i would try and avoid giving her anything else until shes a bit older. Try offering her another bottle if she's still hungry after. Good luck.
