raised liver enzymes
1 Answers
hi my 8 month old baby is really yellow and has been back and for the hospital having tests to find out why.
they finally pinpointed the problem to raised liver enzymes (score was 62) he's due to go back for more tests and scans.
i had a really good pregnancy with him he's fine in himself hes already had jaundice at 10 days old and they've ruled it out this time.
i just don't really understand what its about was it something i did during my pregnancy? is it serious? if so what medication will he need or treatment?
hope someone can answer my questions and settle my mind.
p.s happy new year to everyone!

Fatty Liver and a few syndromes can cause the bilirubin to rise which would give these results and cause yellowing of the skin. Coeliacs disease can also cause it, if I were you, don't google the symptoms and as he seems healthy just wait for a diagnosis.
