I am currently reading a great book which allows me to see the humourous side, it's called "Get Out Of My Life, But First Take Me And Alex Into Town" by Tony Wolf & Suzanne Franks. It made me laugh and was very helpful. You can probably get it on Amazon.
as long as she doesn't show signs of severe depression, drugs or alcohol abuse then it seems you've done a great job so far. she's learning to be independent but still dependent at the same time. remember the terrible two's? that was just preparation for teens. just reassure her that your there if she needs you and leave it be. talking to a teenage girl is like talking to a stubborn man, they have to listen when you talk but yo have to keep it short and sweet and let them mull it over by themselves. and just like a man you'll never know if you really got through to them but sooner or later their actions will speak volumes.
