Sounds like my daughter, she is 13 and always in her room...if I pull her on something, I get the "what ever" or the kevin n perry mode....I think as soon as kids get an opinion the trouble starts!
well my eldest is 3 and a half so i thought that every stage hes at was great.
Now i have a 7 month old Id forgotten how lovely they are at that age too.

Heres hoping the teenage years are just as good
I only have one little one to go by, so no comparisons - she is 7months, and each day (sounds corny I know) I think I don't want her ever to change, I want her to stay that way forever because she's so lovely, but then a week later she is doing something new and I think it again and again and again. I've been ike it since she was about 3weeks old and I thought "I don't want you to get any bigger!" LOL.

People go on about the terrible 2s , i love them at that age , teens from 13- 16 is the toughest time i think ... as they "know it all " lol

yes patricia i agree you get the you dont understand what its like being my age they forget you were their age once lol
Have to agree with a lot of the posts. My daughter is 14 and by comparison I would go through the terrible 2's with her again! At least then when she said no to something it wasn't accompanied by that "you are not going to win" expression on her face and she used to love sitting on the sofa having cuddles - still love her to bits though!

In fact I was talking to someone about their teenage daughter the other night who swore that her daughter went to her bedroom and she didn't see her for a year! We now sit together to watch a DVD and after about 30 minutes, she asks me if I am really watching it, only I don't have to if I don't want to and that is her back in her room!
Teenage years are difficult.

You have to up the love input when they are in the mood, and scale back the moaning at them when they 'want to be alone'.

It's a tough time for all, but remember, your child will return to the human race - make sure you are still in touch so you can enjoy it when he / she arrives!
Although my two are 8 and 7, I have to say that I am looking forward to the teenage years, but then I may be thinking differently if I had girls! Going by my older nephews, I think teenage boys are great, very funny, lazy etc. but definitely not as moody as girls in my experience. I actually wasn't too keen on the age 3-4 stage, too much energy - too little sense!!
