Will a father who is a little forgetful and slightly dizzy transfer these traits to their own child?

As 'forgetful and slightly dizzy' are often associated with extreme intelligence one can only hope that this will be passed onto one's offspring. Obviously this will not always be a good thing. Say for example, a child has a parent who would do something like.... throw away a diplomatic passport then the child may grow up to be the child who goes to school in their pyjamas.

Of course, ideally the child will have another parent who is sensible, brimming with common sense and brains and no propensity to panic at the slightest whiff of upset!

It seems we are both burdened with playing parent to both partner and child? The individual responsibility of coping with both extremes is tough, but does pay dividends when said 'forgetful and slightly dizzy' partner has you rolling around on the floor, laughing like a banshee at their self-imposed embarrassment.
