father seeing his kids after child abuse
29 Answers
Hello all
I need some advise
I have two daughter's age 7 and 5 . I am now divorced from the father and the kids live with me.
Their father used to see the girls at the weekends. Until one weekend the 7-year-old stated saying she did not want to go I told her she had 2 as he was their father. Weekend after she refused point blank kicking and screaming. so asked my ex husband to come round and talk to her she refused and so did the 5 year old
He took out on me and beat me up (he has been found guilty of ABH)
From that day august last year he has not seen the kids but he is fighting me for contact.
Cafcass was involved and a few weeks before the kids was to be interviewed they come out with my ex had been touching them.called the police kids was interviewed etc but CPS would not run with it as the kids was to young to be put on the stand!
Now child servers are involved because Cafcass won't touch this case.
I have just got the kids counseling which they start Monday..
My ex is still fighting me for the kids the kids have told child services they never want to see him again they have told the school the same .
But the father is trying to say he never hit me! And I'm tuning them against him which is not true
So child services are doing a report for the courts now.
Has anybody been though this and what will the likely out come?
I'm worrying myself sick about this because I'm so scared so judge will say they have to go to see him even if its supervised and I know the girls don't want that
His solicitor is so confidant he will get to see the girls he wont even give them there stuff back.
I have a solicitor and he says that he has no chance but is he just saying that because he is getting paid a fortune from me for this matter
If he wins I feel like I have let my girls down once again all I want is to make them happy.

I do not understand why they would not take the case, the age can't be enough, what about that 4 year old girl that was raped by the same guy that killed baby p? she gave evidence through video link and shes 4!!!
I personally don't think he has the chance and let me tell you something, your girls are very lucky to have a mother like you who is fighting for them...
Sorry I can't give you any advise, just wanted to show my support...
Stay strong and let us know how this goes...
All the best xXx

Hi emma. What a horrible situation to be in.
Firstly, if he has been convicted of assaulting you, how on earth can he deny it?
Have you (or your solicitor) received a copy of the report from child services? If not, it's difficult to comment on how it will go.
I can't see how he could ever be allowed unsupervised access.
If you face the worst case scenario where he is allowed supervised access, please push to make sure it takes place at a children's centre or similar where he will be properly supervised. Don't agree to the supervision being the responsibility of a relative or friend.
Don't forget, the children could always be "ill" on the days he is due to see them.
Hopefully the court will see through him. Keep us posted.
Good luck. xx

i don't want to be seen as unsympathetic, but this story is very familiar and I am sure it was revealed as a fraud - can't find the exact post, but this is part of it I am sure.

thats the problem they dont even want to see him on supervised visits my 7 year old is so upset thinking that she may have to see him she is making herself sick
im so worried about them
i know this all sounds so far fetched
but trust me its all true
sitting here reading your answers and i feel better
The last one was identified as a fraud because there were posts from "both" parties on several posts and they were obviously from the same person. I remain to be convinced - if this is a genuine situation, then you have my genuine sympathy and I hope that you get the help you need - if not, then I guess you still need help but in a different way.
I know this IS a stupid question - but why would someone waster their time posting hoax messages etc... I mean really.. Its a lovely day outside.. do they really have nothing else going on in their sad little lives to go and do something more interesting???
And to make something up about child abuse is really low.... really really low....
REPORTED!!!
