As part of a family history project, I want to trace records of my dads' time in care of the local authority. Will these records be avilable and accessible? The records are from the late 1920's, early 1930's. Am I being optimistic?

well it is provbable that they will be the records of a private charity, which should be deposited with your local CRO, possibly Marshall street, but maybe LRO at Preston, do you know the name of the establishment?
