i am 16 and going to be 17 on july 11, 2009 and i want to know if i leave home without my father permission will i be charged as a runaway at the age of 17? i want to leave because my father is ***** drunk everynight. it's gotten to the point where i am scare to go to sleep at night because i dont know what he would do next because he is seriouly a psyco path! and i cant take it no more. i am tired of being scare of going home. i want to go some place where i know i can be safe cause i know for a fact living here isnt safe what so ever!! i want to go live with my sister if i cant be emancipated. i really just want to be happy, i forgot the last time i laughed....

Well it's really just up to you if you want to leave home. If you have any other relatives or friends to stay with then great but if you don't then its your choice.
