Family tree maker version 6. Cant see back up

I used to use family tree maker 6 on my old windows 98 pc and backed up my tree on a floppy disk while back, I have now installed the family tree program onto my windows xp pc but when I try to get my back up from my floppy disk the pc wont see it...if i go to the floppy drive its there but I cant get to it from the program...can anybody help??

Try copying the file from floppy drive on to your pc's desktop and try accessing the file using Family Tree maker from there

Its not showing up in the open box which appears and there is no other formats to choose from, I tried to select the "all files" from the drop down menu but it wasnt there
