At 17, you are legally allowed to live by yourslef, so I see no reason why parents permission would be needed.

At 16 you can join the army, and I doubt most squaddies have to ask permission to go abroad either.

At 16 you can get married & start a family. At 17 you can pass your driving test & venture out alone in your car. If you are a mature & sensible 17 year old, I can't see why you can't go on holiday without your parents permission, although it's always nice to ask them first. Our eldest daughter was 18 when she went on the first holiday with her boyfriend. They both came to us first to ask for our permission & we respected them for that. Parents worry about you because they love you - try to remember that. Have a nice time.

I wen on holiday with friends at 17 and i had to have a letter of permission from my parents. It depends who you book with i think some travel companies ask for this.
The vast majority of travel companies will ask for a parent/gaurdians letter of consent if you are under 18 and therefore still a minor.
I'm pretty sure you have to be over 18 to pay and book the holiday and flights? May be wrong though, i can't say ive ever tried to book a holiday before! (and im 17)
