Best way to get rid of old toys?
13 Answers
We are moving house in the nr future and ahead of that date I want to empty our loft of all the clutter which mostly consists of old toys.
My kids are 17 and 21 now and the majority of the stuff is action figure based from the mid to late 90's eg figures, cars, trucks, playhouses etc.
Aside from doing a car boot sale I could just give the whole lot to charity as I'm not too fussed about the money for them but has anyone any recommendations or other ideas?
Thanks.

You take the same risk at a car boot sale, of course, but dealers are fairly easy to spot. We did once sell a whole box of MacDonalds toys to a collector/dealer at a car boot sale, but he was upfront about what he did and offered a price that we were more than happy with.
If you think you have anything of value, then check out with a local auctioneer first. Valuations are usually free.
