In your opinion if lets say a 1 year old baby cried and was given anything it wanted everytime it cried would this cause behaviour problems when it is older? What age should you stop giving the baby everything it wants? I was discussing this with a girl at work who is pregnant and we never could come up with a specific age of when to start teaching a child it cant always get what it wants.

What do you mean by give it anything it wants? What can a 1 year old want beside food, comfort, clean nappy??
don't have an answer for you really, but even at that age, sometimes they know that they are doing something they shouldn't or taking something that they shouldn't, so really go by your own judgement and your childs development

And woofgang lol - when was the last time you were around a 1 year old? At that age, my two were marauding round the house playing with their toys, taking them off each other and crying for the moon, stars and anything else that they could see!
