That's Doctor Bnejamin Spock, not the Leonard Nimoy version of the same name.

Doctor Spock wrote the "bible" for the 1950s. Not all his advice is still in fashion -- thinking changes on things like letting babies cry, spanking, etc. And you'll find some of the examples of girly-girls and rowdy boys and the assumptions about fulltime mommies a little dated.

It was fun for me to read what my mother read when she was raising me.
